Our Sanctuary Provides:

Our animals receive high-quality feed and hay. Many receive special diets and daily supplements to fit their nutritional requirements.
Health
All animals that come to us receive quality medical care: sterilization, vaccinations, medications, and treatment for any pre-existing diseases.
Love
There is never a shortage of love and affection for our nonhuman and human animal family.

Upcoming Events at SARA
Join SARA in raising funds to help animals in need. We host a variety of events, all of which are open to the public and family-friendly.
Sponsor a Permanent Resident
Most of our farm animals and many of our dogs and cats will remain at SARA for life because adoption is not an option for them.
Help support these special animal friends.
One of the most powerful things you can do to help animals and the planet is to switch to a vegan lifestyle.
More than 80 billion land animals are slaughtered for meat worldwide every year. Chickens represent the vast majority of this number, with billions more ducks, pigs, and sheep killed annually, a total that does not include fish. This number has increased significantly since the 1960s to meet growing demand, with approximately 200 million animals killed daily.
Around 730 animal lives are saved after two years of being a vegan. Also Saved:
Every Dollar Helps
We feed over 2,000 pounds of hay, feed, and pet food 365 days per year, which puts our daily operating costs at about $4,000 per day. Our supporters are what have allowed us to do this for more than 30 years.
With your help, we can continue providing the essential food and care needed to save countless lives.
