Coming out and spending quality time with our many animals is a truly rewarding experience. Hands-on work with the animals is good for them and for you.

Most of the animals at SARA love human interaction and welcome physical contact.

Sanctuary Upkeep

With 750 animals in our care, there is always work that needs to be done. Volunteers help with daily chores such as feeding, cleaning, and watering.

Event Support

We host events throughout the year at the sanctuary and also at off-site adoption events and fundraisers.

Have Fun

Other tasks our volunteers help with include bathing dogs, brushing horses, giving treats to cows and donkeys, walking dogs, playing with animals, and much more.
